Modeling of cascade buck converters
Proceedings of the 2003 International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2003. ISCAS '03., 2003In this paper signal flow graph non-linear modeling of cascade buck converters is presented. A unified signal flow graph model of the converter is developed, and then large, small-signal and steady-state models are deduced from the unified graph. Converter performance expressions are derived.

A comparative analysis of synchronous buck, isolated buck and buck converter
2015 IEEE 15th International Conference on Environment and Electrical Engineering (EEEIC), 2015Demand of power is increasing worldwide and this increased demand has motivated the engineers to look for alternative or renewable energy systems. Meanwhile, the data centers are also employing the solar energy systems to avoid the AC/DC power conversion losses due to the fact that an efficient solar system with DC/DC converter will help them to save ...

A quadratic buck converter with lossless commutation
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2000High switching frequency associated with soft commutation techniques is a new trend in switching converters. Following this trend, the authors present a buck pulsewidth modulation converter, where the DC voltage conversion ratio has a quadratic dependence on duty cycle, providing a large step-down.

DC-DC Buck Converter for Supercapacitor
2019 International Conference on Electronics, Information, and Communication (ICEIC), 2019In this paper, a DCM DC-DC buck converter for charging supercapacitor is proposed. The buck converter consists of compensator for gain and frequency compensation, pulsewidth modulation(PWM) control logic for switch control, clock generator, and soft start-up to reduce the inrush current of an inductor during the initial operation of the converter.

Digital combination of buck and boost converters to control a positive buck-boost converter
2006 37th IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 2006A high efficiency control strategy for operating a buck-boost switching regulator is presented in this paper. The sophisticated control technique can regulate an output voltage for an input voltage, which is higher, lower, or the same as the output voltage. There are several existing solutions to these problems, but all have their disadvantages.

A positive output buck boost converter combining KY and SR-buck converters
2015 International Conference on Power, Instrumentation, Control and Computing (PICC), 2015In most portable electronics equipment's, batteries are used as a source of power. Some efficient power management technique is required in order to get longer battery life. In some batteries, output voltage is not constant so an additional switching power unit is required to get a constant output voltage.

Comparison of a 12V, 10A, 3MHz buck converter and a series capacitor buck converter
2015 IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC), 2015This paper presents a theoretical and experimental comparison of a two-phase buck converter and a two-phase, series capacitor buck converter. The challenges of a conventional buck converter in high current (10 A or more), high frequency (3–30 MHz) point-of-load voltage regulators with large voltage conversion ratios (10-to-1) are discussed.

A Buck Converter with Integrated Circuit Breaker
2018 IEEE 27th International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE), 2018Power conversion and protection systems are often associated with two different devices; power electronic converters and circuit breakers. With power electronic converters enabling the integration of various dc sources, and circuit breakers providing system protection, both are essential in the reliability of dc networks.

Direct Deadbeat Control of a Buck Converter
IECON 2019 - 45th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2019A method of a direct deadbeat control without resort to transformation of system variables is presented. One of its outcomes is a possibility of practical application in control systems of power semiconductor converters with the aim to derivate a maximum speed of response. A technique to develop a mathematical model of a deadbeat controller for a pulse-

A buck-boost converter combining the KY converter and SR buck converter with coupled inductors is presented. This converter is modified from the buck-boost converter combining the KY converter and SR buck converter. The voltage conversion ratio of the modified converter is greater than that of the existing converter.
