Microcontroller based soft-switched buck converter

2009 4th IEEE Conference on Industrial Electronics and Applications, 2009
In this paper, a universal auxiliary circuit named Zero Current and Zero Voltage Transition (ZCZVT) commutation cell applied to buck converter is presented. The operation of the proposed ZCZVT commutation cell applied to buck converter is theoretically analyzed. With the use of the proposed commutation cell, which is activated only during the switching

Buck converter with ZVS three level buck clamping

2008 IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 2008
This work presents the study of a three level DC-DC resonant buck converter with buck active clamping (buckbuck), soft switching (ZVS - zero voltage switching) and constant frequency PWM (pulse width modulation). The converter operation in three levels is motivated by the reduction of the maximum switches voltage, maintaining low switching losses.

A comparative analysis of synchronous buck, isolated buck and buck converter

2015 IEEE 15th International Conference on Environment and Electrical Engineering (EEEIC), 2015
Demand of power is increasing worldwide and this increased demand has motivated the engineers to look for alternative or renewable energy systems. Meanwhile, the data centers are also employing the solar energy systems to avoid the AC/DC power conversion losses due to the fact that an efficient solar system with DC/DC converter will help them to save ...

Analysis and comparison of inductor coupled buck-boost converter combining KY converter and SR buck converter

2014 International Conference on Circuits, Power and Computing Technologies [ICCPCT-2014], 2014
A buck-boost converter combining the KY converter and SR buck converter with coupled inductors is presented. This converter is modified from the buck-boost converter combining the KY converter and SR buck converter. The voltage conversion ratio of the modified converter is greater than that of the existing converter.

Buck-boost integrated forward converter

2005 European Conference on Power Electronics and Applications, 2005
An integrated converter is a synthesized converter based on the overall system integration, which is simplified by the system objective and can implement the system functions similar to the discrete converters. An integrated converter consists of converter sets; each converter set has a special function defined by the designer.

Time Domain Analysis of Isolated Buck (F1y-Buck) Converter

2018 IEEE International Conference on Power Electronics, Drives and Energy Systems (PEDES), 2018
This paper presents a comparative study of time domain analysis of multi-output isolated buck (fly-buck) converter with and without considering the effect of parasitics in continuous conduction mode. Time domain analysis of fly-buck converter has been performed to study the transient and steady state behavior of a converter in a faster and more ...

A special buck-boost converter

[Proceedings] Fourteenth International Telecommunications Energy Conference - INTELEC '92, 2003
A special step-up/down converter is investigated. The basic function, the stationary relationships, the small signal behavior, the position of the poles and zeros and the dimensioning are discussed. For a model converter, simulation and measurement results are compared.

Two-Switch Semiquadratic Buck Converter

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2017
A two-switch semiquadratic fifth-order buck converter belonging to a minimum-phase family is proposed in this paper. The proposed converter exhibits better dynamic performance, steady-state voltage gain in between conventional buck and quadratic buck converter. In view of this characteristic, it gives more bucking than the traditional buck converter. A
