A new battery equalizer based on buck-boost topology
2007 7th Internatonal Conference on Power Electronics, 2007A new technique based on buck-boost topology is proposed to equalize a series-connected battery stack in this paper. The proposed scheme transfers the energy from fully charged battery cell to the weakest charged battery using buck-boost operation. This operation maintains batteries at the same charge and voltage level.

New topology for a single-phase buck-boost inverter
2018 IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC), 2018This paper presents a new single-phase voltage source inverter based on two Buck-Boost dc-dc. The Buck-Boost inverter is driven by two 180° phase-shifted dc-biased sinusoidal references. This new topology can generate an instantaneous output voltage higher or lower than the input dc voltage without an intermediate power stage or transformer.

Derivation of the buck-boost PWM DC-DC converter circuit topology
2002 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems. Proceedings (Cat. No.02CH37353), 2003The derivation of the buck-boost PWM DC-DC converter circuit is presented. The buck and boost converter circuits are cascaded through an inverting stage. Circuit theory and manipulation will be used to simplify the cascaded circuit into the familiar inverting buck-boost PWM DC-DC converter topology.

A compact single-phase bidirectional buck-boost-inverter topology
2012 International Conference on Renewable Energy Research and Applications (ICRERA), 2012This paper proposes a single-phase bidirectional buck-boost-inverter topology. The boosting function is achieved by using a wide range of duty cycles based on the front-end buck-boost converter characteristics. The two main switches operate at 20 kHz to generate a unipolar half-cycle sinusoidal waveform.
