The authors consider elastic buckling of an inextensible beam confined to the plane and subject to fixed end displacements, in the presence of rigid, frictionless side-walls which contain overall lateral displacements. The authors formulate the geometrically nonlinear Euler problem, derive some analytical results for special cases, and develop a ...

Normal menisci may show transient distortion during knee arthrography. This usually results from intermittent visualization of the meniscus out of direct profile to the x-ray beam. Similar transient distortion may result from actual buckling of an anatomically normal meniscus during stressful maneuvers in young individuals.

Fact checking is the task of determining if a given claim holds. Several algorithms have been developed to check facts with reference information in the form of knowledge bases. We demonstrate BUCKLE, an open-source benchmark for comparing and evaluating fact checking algorithms in a level playing field across a range of scenarios.
