Emergent Magnetic Structures at the 2D Limit of the Altermagnet MnTe
Renewed interest in MnTe has emerged due to its intriguing altermagnetism, a newly identified form of magnetism distinct from conventional ferro‐, antiferro‐, or paramagnetism. By combining magnetic X‐ray absorption spectroscopy, scanning tunnelling microscopy, and first‐principles theory, this study reveals that thinning MnTe to the 2D limit ...

Deformation and Degradation in 18650 Li‐Ion Cells Under Freeze‐Thaw Cycling
This study investigates the impact of freezethaw degradation of 18650 cells via combined electrochemical and x‐ray imaging studies. High‐resolution synchrotron X‐ray tomography reveals deformation of the jelly‐roll structure and delamination of electrode active materials in cells cycled at 1C and 4C. These structural changes are quantitatively assessed

Buckling of elastic filaments by discrete magnetic moments
We study the buckling of an idealized, semiflexible filament along whose contour magnetic moments are placed. {We give analytic expressions for the critical stiffness of the filament below which it buckles due to the magnetic compression.

Buckling Analysis of Hetero-Junction Carbon Nanotubes
The buckling analysis of carbon nanotubes without and with hetero-junctions is described in this paper. The buckling behaviour was investigated by the finite element method and the carbon nanotubes were modelled as space frame structures.

Buckling analysis of a laminate plate [PDF]
The paper deals with a modeling of laminate plates and with their buckling analysis. To predict the inception of buckling for plates in plane resultant forces must be included. The buckling analysis is made by the help of finite element method in program
