Micro Biomimetic Eyeball for Humanoid Robots: A Visual System with High‐Density Functional Integration Based on an Origami Mechanism

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A biomimetic eyeball system (BES) based on a 3‐DOF miniature origami mechanism, which addresses the inherent issues of large size and weight in traditional electromechanical BESs is presented. Moreover, it maintains a level of visual functionality comparable to that of the human eye, including capabilities such as rapid scanning, target recognition ...

Ion‐Electron Fusion Transparent Film for Interactive Soft Robotics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An ion‐electron fusion transparent film with stable conductivity, high optical transmittance, and a broad linear strain‐sensing range of up to 300% is developed, attributed to the synergistic effects of ion penetration and microcrack design. When applied to soft robots, this film imparts proprioceptive sensing and underwater visible light communication

Flexible Thin‐Film Heater Composed of Laser‐Induced Graphene and Poly(D, L‐Lactic Acid) with Electro‐ and Photo‐Thermal Properties toward Cancer Thermotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a thin‐film‐type heat‐generating device that uses laser induced graphene (LIG) on a poly(D, L‐lactic) acid film, which realizes both resistance heating by direct current application and photothermal conversion heating by near‐infrared light irradiation.

Manual Activation of Metal‐Like Patterns in Leather for Stable Electrical Signal Transmission

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This work proposes a strategy in which EGaIn particles are fused within the leather matrix through a handwritten sintering process, resulting in the fabrication of highly conductive metal‐like leather (MLL). MLL not only retains the comfort and breathability of leather but also allows for reliable electrical signal transmission.

Shaping Magnetic Liquid Metals Into 3D Leakage‐Free, Shape‐Programmable Structures and Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This research addresses the fluidity‐induced leakage challenge in the 3D patterning of liquid metals (LMs) by utilizing magnetic liquid metals (MLMs). These 3D MLM structures prevent LM leakage, enable shape programmability and reconfigurability, and exhibit self‐healing and enhanced compression resistance.
