Fabrication‐Aware Mechanical Design of SLA‐Printed Polymeric Microneedles: Integrating Geometry, Dimensional Fidelity, and Structural Instability

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, EarlyView.
SLA‐printed microneedles exhibit fabrication‐induced dimensional deviations that strongly influence their mechanical response. Comparison of nominal CAD, global as‐printed, and local critical‐section models shows that local tip‐region geometry provides the closest agreement with experimental instability loads, highlighting the importance of fabrication‐

Physical Reservoir Computing Using Microelectromechanical Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, EarlyView.
Physical reservoir computing (PRC) transforms micro‐electro‐mechanical (MEMS) sensors into intelligent computing nodes by utilizing their intrinsic nonlinear dynamics and short‐term memory effects. This review surveys recent progress in MEMS‐based reservoir computing, covering its theoretical foundations, device architectures, and applications in ...

Morphological adaptations of cervical vertebrae in plunge‐diving sulids

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Foraging strategy frequently drives morphological diversification in birds. The plunge‐diving behavior of certain species makes the functional and ecological trade‐offs of variation in cervical vertebrae an especially intriguing question. This study compares cervical vertebrae across five plunge‐diving species and two non‐plunge‐diving species,

Restoring joint homeostasis: A dynamically adaptive meniscal scaffold prevents osteoarthritis by replicating native biomechanics

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
This work establishes a paradigm shift from static structural mimicry to dynamic functional replication. By restoring the native “compression‐to‐tension” mechanism, the scaffold ensures robust mechanical stability and superior chondroprotection.

Initiating Market Formation Through Local Policy Innovation: Plot Handover as a Driver for Circular Construction

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The transition to circular construction suffers from uncertainties related to costs, market realities, supply, regulations and expertise using secondary materials in building projects. Uncertainties are large, and resolving them needs policy interventions.
