Chromosomal Instability Drives Glioblastoma Heterogeneity and Therapeutic Opportunities

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Glioblastoma, the most aggressive and lethal form of brain cancer, is defined by profound genomic instability, with Chromosomal Instability (CIN) playing a central role in driving tumor progression, therapy resistance, and poor prognosis. CIN is characterized by numerical and structural alterations, is driven by mechanisms such as mitotic ...

DNA Replication Errors Drive Genome‐Wide Small Inverted Triplication Dynamics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study provides insight into the dynamic equilibrium mechanism of a novel structural variant, small inverted triplication (SIT), which is generated by misalignment of the 3’ flap generated under DNA replication stress with palindromic sequence. Alternatively, the end sequence may fold back on itself to form an inverted fragment.

tBid‐Mediated Genetic Ablation of Connective Tissue Cells Reveals Their Key Regulatory Function During Limb Regeneration in Axolotls

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We establish a tBid‐mediated cell ablation system in axolotls, achieve rapid and efficient ablation of multiple cell types, including muscle stem cell, spinal cord cell, and connective tissue (CT) cells. We investigate the role of CT using tBid‐mediated CT ablation and identify its essential role for limb development and regeneration.

Bud Break in Pecan following Boron Toxicity1

open access: yesHortScience, 1976
Abstract Boron was soil applied to pecan trees ( Carya illinoensis (Wang) K. Koch) at the rate of 0, 12.5, 25.0, 50.0, or 100 g per tree. Boron toxicity increased with B applied. Bud break the following spring was advanced in relation to B applied and toxicity incurred.

Engineering Microbial Particles for Next‐Generation Biomedical Platforms

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Microbe‐derived particles (MDPs), which include extracellular vesicles, outer membrane vesicles, inclusion bodies, polysaccharide particles, and virus‐like particles, represent a rapidly expanding category of bioinspired nanomaterials. With their natural origin, intrinsic biocompatibility, and highly programmable functionality, MDPs serve as a ...

Bud break in sugar maple submitted to changing conditions simulating a northward migration

open access: yes, 2020
Assisted migration, the human-mediated movement of species and populations, is one adaptive strategy to climate change. Plant phenology affects the survival and distribution of species under local conditions, and its potential modifications need to be ...

ZDHHC18‐Mediated Palmitoylation of ORF3a Promotes SARS‐CoV‐2 Pathogenesis by Antagonizing TRIM16‐Mediated Ubiquitination and Proteasomal Degradation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Palmitoylation by ZDHHC18 blocks ORF3a K27‐linked ubiquitination mediated by TRIM16, thereby preventing its proteasomal degradation and strengthening viral pathogenesis. Targeting palmitoylation through a pharmacological inhibitor (2‐BP), a competitive inhibitory peptide (OPIP), or adenovirus‐mediated knockdown of ZDHHC18 expression presents a ...

Real‐World Evaluation of Talquetamab for the Treatment of Relapsed/Refractory Multiple Myeloma (RRMM): An International Myeloma Working Group Immunotherapy Registry Real‐World Analysis

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Talquetamab is a GPRC5D × CD3 bispecific antibody approved for relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM). This is the first real‐world study to comprehensively report muco‐cutaneous toxicities, infections, and efficacy of talquetamab in 151 patients across five countries with the longest follow‐up reported enabling better efficacy and ...
