The Inter-nationality of Late Nineteenth-Century Budapest Quartets and Their not Entirely Prejudice-free Reception in the Press

open access: yesMusicologica Olomucensia, 2023
Pest-Buda already had two permanent ensembles during the 1830s - the Táborszky and the Szervacinszky quartets; in the 1850s, ambitious programs, explicitly labeled as "quartet concerts," were performed by the short-lived Ridley-Kohne quartet. However, it

Titanium Suboxides Responsible for Electronic Anomaly Near Room Temperature in the Ti3C2Tx MXene

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Our multi‐technique study reveals that the near‐room‐temperature anomaly in Ti3C2Tx MXene is linked to titanium suboxide nanodomains, including Ti3O5, embedded within the MXene host. Their temperature‐driven transformation provides an alternative explanation to solvent‐ and swelling‐based models and offers new insight into the thermally activated ...

Halide Perovskite Integrated Photovoltaic Cathodes Incorporating Pt on ZIF‐8‐Derived Carbon for Solar Hydrogen Production

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A low‐Pt catalyst supported on zeolitic imidazolate framework (ZIF‐8)‐derived porous carbon and graphite is integrated with a halide perovskite photovoltaic, yielding cathodes that achieve a high photocurrent density (∼20 mA cm−2) under simulated sunlight and exhibit remarkable stability in acidic media over several days, thereby demonstrating a ...

Fullerene‐Mediated Iodine Immobilization at Buried Interfaces in Sn–Pb Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Indene‐C60 bisadduct (ICBA) accumulates at the buried interface of inverted tin‐lead perovskite solar cells, limiting undesired electron extraction while maintaining efficient hole transport. ICBA simultaneously scavenges molecular iodine, mitigating Sn2+ oxidation and interfacial recombination. This coupled electronic‐chemical regulation delivers 22.7%

Thermoresponsive Soft and Self‐Anchoring Cuff Electrode for Chronic Peripheral Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A novel thermoresponsive, soft and self‐anchoring (TSSA) cuff electrode utilizing shape memory polymers achieves autonomous, sutureless peripheral nerve fixation. Driven by thermally induced pre‐strain and tissue adhesion, the device self‐closes and softens at body temperature, successfully minimizing mechanical mismatch. This adaptive platform ensures

The architecture of Hungarian schools as a tool for forming the national identity. 1909-1927

open access: yesАрхитектон
School architecture in Hungary is seen as an important tool in the formation of this young nation. The Hungarian school was called upon to educate a “new citizen” and a “good Hungarian”, forming in children the image of their beloved Motherland.
