Addressing Demographic Challenges Through Public–Private Partnerships: In Vitro Fertilization in Latvia

open access: yesWorld Medical &Health Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The study by Morshed‐Behbahani et al. highlights that financial barriers are not the sole obstacle to accessing infertility treatment. Using total abundance as a proxy for wild bee species richness: A practical tool for non‐experts

open access: yesJournal of Applied Ecology, EarlyView.
The use of a simple but effective proxy could be an important starting point for the expansion of wild bee monitoring initiatives at the regional scale, particularly given the growing involvement of non‐specialists. We provided here a simple implementation framework to use this proxy in rapid biodiversity assessments, such as the evaluation of payment ...

A pan‐European citizen science study shows population size, climate and land use are related to biased morph ratios in the heterostylous plant Primula veris

open access: yesJournal of Ecology, EarlyView.
A large‐scale citizen science study involving thousands of cowslip (Primula veris) observations from all over Europe revealed an unexpected prevalence of S‐morphs over L‐morphs, which was influenced by climatic as well as land use factors. Furthermore, general morph ratios were often unbalanced with the strongest shifts occurring in smaller populations.
