Abstract This brief presents a comparative performance study of two recently presented techniques, the multiple-input bulk-driven (MI-BD) and the multiple-input bulk-driven quasi-floating-gate (MI-BD-QFG) MOS transistors (MOST). These techniques offer simplified CMOS structures of specific active elements and ensure near rail-to-rail operation ...

Transconductance enhancement in bulk-driven input stages
2008 15th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems, 2008This paper presents two different circuit techniques which rely on partial positive feedback to enhance the effective transconductance of a CMOS bulk-driven input stage, thus leading to improved values for the DC gain and the gain-bandwidth product. The first approach modifies the conductance of the active load, while the second solution acts directly ...

A bulk-driven ISFET-based chemical mixer
2010 Biomedical Circuits and Systems Conference (BioCAS), 2010In this work the concept of the chemical mixer for comparing the pH of two aqueous solutions is introduced. Ionic concentrations are sensed via a pair of ISFETs, which are then translated into signals with frequencies that correspond to the pH values of the solutions.

0.8-Volt bulk-driven flipped voltage follower
2013 IEEE Faible Tension Faible Consommation, 2013A source follower based voltage buffer that fits in with a low supply voltage is presented. This proposal is based on utilizing the Bulk-Driven Flipped Voltage Follower (BDFVF) and the Quasi-Floating Gate (QFG) technique. The proposed voltage buffer has been designed with a 0.18-μm CMOS technology.

TENCON 2015 - 2015 IEEE Region 10 Conference, 2015
In this work, the low-voltage current feedback operational amplifier (CFOA) with bulk-driven, quasi-floating-gate (QFG) transistor and bulk-driven-quasi-floating-gate (QFG) transistor techniques to operate under low supply voltage is proposed. The proposed circuits were design based on the voltage follower and current follower while the output stages ...

A Bulk-Driven Lowpass Filter for EEG Signal
2020 6th International Conference on Engineering, Applied Sciences and Technology (ICEAST), 2020A typical Electroencephalography (EEG) acquisition system must include a lowpass filter (LPF) unit. According to the clinical applications, EEG signal have a conventional frequency range of 0.1-Hz to 70-Hz. The cutoff frequency for an LPF in EEG acquisition system should be in the same range.

0.4-V bulk-driven differential-difference amplifier
Microelectronics Journal, 2015A new solution for an ultra-low-voltage, low-power, bulk-driven fully differential-difference amplifier (FDDA) is presented in the paper. Simulated performance of the overall FDDA for a 50nm CMOS process and supply voltage of 0.4V, shows dissipation power of 31.8µW, the open loop voltage gain of 58.6dB and the gain-bandwidth product (GBW) of 2.3MHz for

0.5 V bulk-driven analog building blocks
AEU - International Journal of Electronics and Communications, 2012Abstract Basic analog building blocks, such as voltage follower (VF), second generation Current Conveyor (CCII), and Current Feedback Operational Amplifier (CFOA), capable for operating under 0.5 V supply voltage, are introduced in this paper. The input stage of the proposed blocks is based on bulk-driven pMOS devices, and simultaneously offers the ...

Extremely Low-Voltage Bulk-Driven Tunable Transconductor
Circuits, Systems, and Signal Processing, 2016A design solution for bulk-driven tunable transconductor capable of working under extremely low supply/consumption with rail-to-rail input common-mode range is presented in this work. The proposed transconductor topology consists of six bulk-driven CMOS inverters, and it uses a very simple biasing circuit for the transconductance tuning.

Designing bulk-driven MOSFETs in scaled technologies
2009 International Semiconductor Device Research Symposium, 2009With the advent of system-on-a-chip integration, analog components are being forced to co-exist with their digital counterparts in scaled processes where the supply voltage, V DD , is expected to fall to 0.7 V by 2012 [1]. As a result of this integration, traditional analog topologies suffer from voltage headroom constraints since the threshold voltage,
