Bianchi Type-I Bulk Viscosity with a DE Cosmological Model

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2020
The finding article presents Bianchi type-I universe in the presence of bulk viscous and DE fluid nature of a cosmological model. The solutions of field equations were obtained by assuming hybrid expansion law.

A Simplified Laminar Flow Model for the Pultrusion of Glass Fiber/Polyethylene Terephthalate Commingled Yarns

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A simplified thermoplastic pultrusion model is developed to predict thermal fields in glass fiber/polyethylene terephthalate (GF/PET) composites with reduced computational cost. By combining effective material homogenization, validation against literature data, and Gaussian‐process‐based optimization, the study reveals how heating limits, pulling speed,

Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.

Bulk viscosity of water in acoustic modal analysis and experiment

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2018
Bulk viscosity is an important factor in the damping properties of fluid systems and exhibits frequency dependent behaviour. A comparison between modal analysis in ANSYS Acoustics, custom code and experimental data is presented in this paper.

Influence of Test Temperature and Test Frequency on Fatigue Life of Aluminum Alloy EN AW‐2618A

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The influence of test temperature and test frequency on the fatigue life of EN AW‐2618A is investigated. High‐cycle fatigue tests are performed at different test temperatures and frequencies on the 1000 h/230°C overaged state. Both test parameters reduce fatigue life due to time‐dependent damage mechanisms.

Demo 14-06 Oil Viscosity

open access: yes, 2001
This video demonstrates the difference in viscosity between three weights of motor oil. Tubes filled with the oil, with a small bubble on top, are quickly inverted. The bubbles begin to rise, with the bubble in the least viscous oil rising most rapidly,

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Evaluation of colour stability, water sorption and solubility of no-cap flowable bulk fill resin composites

open access: yesBMC Oral Health
Background The aim of this study is to investigate the colour stability, water absorption, and solubility values of low viscosity bulk fill resin composites that do not require an additional layer in comparison with high viscosity and low viscosity bulk ...

Niobium oxyhydroxide as a bioactive agent and reinforcement to a high-viscosity bulk-fill resin composite

open access: yesJournal of Applied Oral Science
Objective The present in vitro study incorporated niobium oxyhydroxide fillers into an experimental high-viscosity bulk-fill resin composite to improve its mechanical performance and provide it a bioactive potential.

On the generalized bulk viscosity behavior

open access: yes, 2001
We have calculated generalized longitudinal, eta (L)(k), shear, eta (S)(k), and bulk, eta (B)(k) viscosity of argon at two thermodynamic states by molecular-dynamics simulation.
