Bulk viscosity of gauge theory plasma at strong coupling [PDF]
We propose an inequality on bulk viscosity of strongly coupled gauge theory plasmas that allow for a dual supergravity description. Using explicit example of the N=2∗ gauge theory plasma we show that the bulk viscosity remains finite at a critical point ...

This study shows that superalloys used in aircraft engine disks become much more prone to deformation at high temperatures if they have been strained during manufacturing. This effect increases with the level of prior strain but eventually reaches a limit.

This paper reports a study on the truncated Israel-Stewart formalism for bulk viscosity using the extended holographic Ricci dark energy (EHRDE). Under the consideration that the universe is dominated by EHRDE, the evolution equation for the bulk viscous

Low‐voltage FIB‐SEM tomography combined with a image preprocessing pipeline improves phase contrast and enables reliable machine‐learning segmentation of conductive networks in lithium‐ion battery electrodes. Structural descriptors are extracted from segmented images, done semimanually and automated, and compared.

Dislocation cutting of γ′ precipitates in Ni‐based superalloys is investigated by linking atomistic simulations with discrete dislocation dynamics. The critical cutting stress is shown to be governed by the antiphase boundary energy, while line tension effects promote edge‐preferred cutting.

The effect of depth of cure on microhardness between bulk-fill and hybrid composite resin material
Background: Functional properties should be considered when selecting composites for restorations. With bulk-fill resin composites, the disadvantages of conventional composites were overcome regarding the increments necessitating the application of a 2 ...

A combined experimental–computational framework identifies energy‐dependent laser absorptivity for NiTi in laser powder‐bed fusion, applicable to conduction and transition modes. Single‐track experiments and thermofluid smoothed particle hydrodynamics simulations are coupled through inverse analysis of melt pool geometry.

Stability Analysis of Bulk Viscous Cosmology
In this paper, we study phase space analysis of FRW universe model by taking a power-law model for bulk viscosity coefficient. An autonomous system of equations is developed by defining normalized dimensionless variables.

Prediction Models for Density and Viscosity of Biodiesel and their Effects on Fuel Supply System in CI Engines [PDF]
Biodiesel is a promising non-toxic and biodegradable alternative fuel used in the transport sector. Nevertheless, the higher viscosity and density of biodiesel poses some acute problems when it is used it in unmodified engine.

Comparison of Triply Periodic Minimal Surface Energy Absorbers Under Uniaxial Compressive Loading
This study investigates LCD 3D printed Triply Periodic Minimal Surface (TPMS) structures as mechanical energy absorbers. By comparing various base designs and layered combinations under uniaxial compression, it identifies that a Diamond‐Gyroid sandwich structure offers superior performance.
