Photochemistry of Aromatic N‐Oxides in Water Probed by Time‐Resolved X‐ray Absorption Spectroscopy

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved XAS at the nitrogen and oxygen K‐edges is applied to the photorearrangement of two N‐oxides in water. Pyridine N‐oxide rapidly forms the oxaziridine isomer. Pyridazine N‐oxide undergoes ring opening to the diazo compound, without any evidence of intermediates.

Bunch by bunch feedback systems review

open access: yes
Bunch-by-bunch feedback systems have become essential components of high-energy particle accelerators, particularly for ultra-low emittance rings. These systems have been widely used in accelerator facilities to ensure beam quality and to apply them to extensions such as beam diagnostics or manipulation.

How Consumers Contest Legitimacy: Skepticism Toward Corporate Social Responsibility

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Consumer skepticism toward Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives operates not only as an individual‐level response but also as a societal governance mechanism that disciplines firms and reshapes organizational legitimacy. Drawing on in‐depth interviews with consumers in an emerging Latin American economy, this study advances an ...

Theory and design consideration of a THz superradiant waveguide FEL

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics
We present theoretical analysis and design considerations of a THz superradiant FEL. We derive analytical expressions for the spectral parameter of THz radiation, emitted superradiantly in a rectangular waveguide using a Longitudinal Section Magnetic ...

Yielding and nutritional value of Japanese bunching onion in relation to the date of planting and type of flat cover

open access: yesFolia Horticulturae, 2013
During a three-year field experiment, the possibilities of cultivating the ‘Performer’ cultivar of Japanese bunching onion for early harvest bunching were assessed through the use of autumn and spring planting terms. The seedlings, produced in multi-pots,

Epidemiology of Intensive Nutritional Interventions and Restraints in Hospitalizations for Anorexia Nervosa: Annual National Trends of the United States

open access: yesInternational Journal of Eating Disorders, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Despite the clinical relevance of enteral and parenteral tube feeding and restraint use in anorexia nervosa (AN), national‐level data on their use have remained limited, particularly for total parenteral nutrition (TPN) and percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG).

Nanofiber PVA‐Based Membranes Incorporating Functionalized Spanish Broom Derivatives for Sustainable Water Purification

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
This study investigates Spanish broom (Spartium junceum) as a renewable source for electrospun composite membranes in sustainable water purification. MCC and biochar were functionalized with eco‐friendly precursors and nanomaterials (i.e., HNT, β‐CDs) to develop hybrid PVA nanofiber composites.

Sustainable Revival of Spent Lithium Iron Phosphate Cathodes in Li‐Ion Batteries: Recycling and Surface Engineering Approaches

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of the lifecycle of LiFePO4 cathodes. Lithiation and delithiation reactions happen through its discharging and charging processes. Recycling pathways including hydrometallurgy, pyrometallurgy, and direct regeneration enable sustainable reuse of spent LFP materials. Surface modification approaches (carbon, polymer, and metal/metal

Bunching for Regions and Locations

open access: yesElectronic Notes in Theoretical Computer Science, 2006
AbstractThere are a number of applied lambda-calculi in which terms and types are annotated with parameters denoting either locations or locations in machine memory. Such calculi have been designed with safe memory-management operations in mind.It is difficult to construct directly denotational models for existing calculi of this kind.

Research on the compact design of bunching cavities for high modulation depth of intense-current relativistic electron beams

open access: yesAIP Advances
In order to overcome the bottleneck of improving the bunching depth of intense-current electron beams in klystron, this study proposes a design scheme of high bunching depth based on the staggered distribution of resonant cavity frequencies.
