As part of an inclusive health examination of the population of Tecumseh, Michigan, electrocardiograms were recorded from 8,641 persons of all ages, 87.9 per cent of those living in the study area. Eighteen persons, twelve men and six women, had complete right bundle-branch block and a like number, composed of six men and 12 women, had left.

Endocardial ablation of ventricular ectopic beats arising from the basal inferoseptal process of the left ventricle [PDF]
Background Idiopathic ventricular ectopy (VE) shows predilection to sites within the left ventricular (LV) base such as the outflow tract/aortic sinuses, LV summit, and areas adjacent to the aortomitral continuity.

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Chest pain and exercise induced left bundle branch block – A clinical dilemma
Exercise-induced left bundle branch block is a rare electrocardiographic phenomenon. We present two patients with angina pectoris who developed left bundle branch block on ECG during treadmill test. The first patient had non-obstructive coronary arteries

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

Contemporary characteristics and outcomes in chagasic heart failure compared with other nonischemic and ischemic cardiomyopathy [PDF]
Background: Chagas’ disease is an important cause of cardiomyopathy in Latin America. We aimed to compare clinical characteristics and outcomes in patients with heart failure (HF) with reduced ejection fraction caused by Chagas’ disease, with other ...

Tumor mutational burden as a determinant of metastatic dissemination patterns
This study performed a comprehensive analysis of genomic data to elucidate whether metastasis in certain organs share genetic characteristics regardless of cancer type. No robust mutational patterns were identified across different metastatic locations and cancer types.
