Detection rate for ESR1 mutations is higher in circulating‐tumor‐cell‐derived genomic DNA than in paired plasma cell‐free DNA samples as revealed by ddPCR

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Analysis of ESR1 mutations in plasma cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) is highly important for the selection of treatment in patients with breast cancer. Using multiplex‐ddPCR and identical blood draws, we investigated whether circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and cfDNA provide similar or complementary information for ESR1 mutations.

Characteristic classes and quadric bundles [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1994
We construct Euler and Stiefel-Whitney classes of vector bundles with quadratic form by analyzing the intersection theory of the associated quadric bundles. We also compute the Chow rings of quadric and isotropic flag bundles. Along the way, we prove a conjecture of Fulton on top Chern classes of maximal isotropic sub-bundles of an even rank quadratic ...

Geometry of Bounded Frechet Manifolds

open access: yes, 2018
In this paper we develop the geometry of bounded Fr\'echet manifolds. We prove that a bounded Fr\'echet tangent bundle admits a vector bundle structure.

Targeted metabolomics reveals novel diagnostic biomarkers for colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed targeted metabolomic profiling to identify 302 distinct metabolites present in platelet‐rich plasma (PRP), revealing aberrant metabolic profiles amongst individuals diagnosed with colorectal cancer (CRC). Compared to carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and cancer antigen 19‐9 (CA199), our metabolite panel showed improved sensitivity ...

Extensions of vector bundles and rationality of certain moduli spaces of stable bundles [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1996
In this paper, it is proved that certain stable rank-3 vector bundles can be written as extensions of line bundles and stable rank-2 bundles. As an application, we show the rationality of certain moduli spaces of stable rank-3 bundles over the projective plane P^2.

Polyfunctional CD8+CD226+RUNX2hi effector T cells are diminished in advanced stages of chronic lymphocytic leukemia

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CD226+CD8+ T cells express elevated levels of RUNX2, exhibit higher proliferation capacity, cytokines and cytolytic molecules expression, and migratory capacity. In contrast, CD226−CD8+ T cells display an exhausted phenotype associated with the increased expression of co‐inhibitory receptors and impaired effector functions.

The incidence of ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) in a tertiary-care center: Comparison between pre- and post-VAP prevention bundle

open access: yesJournal of Infection and Public Health, 2020
Introduction: Ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) is a nosocomial infection that develops 48 h after the initiation of mechanical ventilatory support.

Slope semistability of Veronese normal bundles [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
A classical fact is that normal bundles of rational normal curves are well-balanced. We generalize this by proving that all Veronese normal bundles are slope semistable. We also determine the line bundle decomposition of the restriction of degree 2 Veronese normal bundles to lines and rational normal curves.
