NONHOMOGENEOUS FRACTIONAL BURGERS EQUATION [PDF]
In this article we study solutions of the nonlinear fractional Burgers equation with a nonhomogeneous term associated with external forces. This equation is a generalization of the nonhomogeneous diffusion equation with an additional term that describes ...

Instantons in the Burgers equation [PDF]
The instanton solution for the forced Burgers equation is found. This solution describes the exponential tail of the probability distribution function of velocity differences in the region where shock waves are absent; that is, for large positive velocity differences.

Algebraic traveling waves for the modified Korteweg–de-Vries–Burgers equation
In this paper we characterize all traveling wave solutions of the Generalized Korteweg–de Vries–Burgers equation. In particular we recover the traveling wave solutions for the well-known Korteweg–de Vries–Burgers equation.

A BPE Model for the Burgers Equation [PDF]
We study the BPE (Brownian particle equation) model of the Burgers equation presented in the preceding article [6]. More precisely, we are interested in establishing the existence and uniqueness properties of solutions using probabilistic techniques.

Burgers’ equation in the complex plane
Burgers' equation is a well-studied model in applied mathematics with connections to the Navier-Stokes equations in one spatial direction and traffic flow, for example.

In this paper I give a short review on the continuous, semi-discrete and discrete Burgers equations, which are featured as integrable equations that are linearisable.

On the Uniform Controllability of the Burgers Equation [PDF]
In this paper, we deal with the viscous Burgers equation with a small dissipation coefficient $\nu$. We prove the (global) exact controllability property to nonzero constant states, that is to say, the possibility of finding boundary values such that the solution of the associated Burgers equation is driven to a constant state.

Multidimensional Stochastic Burgers Equation [PDF]
We consider multidimensional stochastic Burgers equation on the torus $\mathbb{T}^d$ and the whole space $\Rd$. In both cases we show that for positive viscosity $ν>0$ there exists a unique strong global solution in $L^p$ for $p>d$. In the case of torus we also establish a uniform in $ν$ a priori estimate and consider a limit $ν\todown 0$ for ...

Playing with Burgers’s Equation [PDF]
The 1D Burgers equation is used as a toy model to mimick the resulting behaviour of numerical schemes when replacing a conservation law by a form which is equivalent for smooth solutions, such as the total energy by the internal energy balance in the Euler equations.
