Swedish Consumers' Willingness‐to‐Pay for Plant‐Based Proteins in Pasta Sauce: Preferences and Policy Scenarios

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper explores Swedish consumers' protein preferences by estimating the willingness‐to‐pay (WTP) for minced meat and plant‐based proteins in pasta sauce from an in‐store experiment (n = 206) and an online discrete choice experiment (n = 517). On average, the WTP was highest for minced meat.

Exploring the Impact of Meat Alternative Labeling Regulations on the U.S. Meat Consumption Patterns

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The global demand for conventional meat continues to rise, but it is also associated with substantial environmental and health challenges. In response, meat alternatives have gained popularity, sparking debates over meat alternative labeling regulations. This study investigates the effects of meat alternative labeling regulations in the United

Short-Term Creep Experiment of Cement Asphalt Mortar and Its Numerical Simulation

open access: yesAdvances in Materials Science and Engineering, 2016
In order to investigate the creep performance of cement asphalt mortar (CA mortar), the field sampling of CA mortar cylinder samples was produced, and all samples were tested on WDW series electric universal testing machine by using uniaxial static creep

High-accuracy quasi-variable mesh method for the system of 1D quasi-linear parabolic partial differential equations based on off-step spline in compression approximations

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2017
In this article, we propose a new two-level implicit method of accuracy two in time and three in space based on spline in compression approximations using two off-step points and a central point on a quasi-variable mesh for the numerical solution of the ...

Kolmogorov‐Burgers Model for Star‐forming Turbulence

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2002
The process of star formation in interstellar molecular clouds is believed to be controlled by driven supersonic magnetohydrodynamic turbulence. We suggest that in the inertial range such turbulence obeys the Kolmogorov law, while in the dissipative range it behaves as Burgers turbulence developing shock singularities.

Fractional burgers wave equation

open access: yes, 2019
Thermodynamically consistent fractional Burgers constitutive models for viscoelastic media, divided into two classes according to model behavior in stress relaxation and creep tests near the initial time instant, are coupled with the equation of motion ...

Self‐Driving Laboratory Optimizes the Lower Critical Solution Temperature of Thermoresponsive Polymers

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
A low‐cost, self‐driving laboratory is developed to democratize autonomous materials discovery. Using this "frugal twin" hardware architecture with Bayesian optimization, the platform rapidly converges to target lower critical solution temperature (LCST) values while self‐correcting from off‐target experiments, demonstrating an accessible route to data‐

Fish Burgers Fortified with Microencapsulated Sacha Inchi Oil: Effects on Technological and Sensory Properties

open access: yesFoods
The long-chain omega-3 fatty acids alpha linolenic acid (ALA), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) have proven health benefits, but it is not common to find them together in a processed food product.

On the stability of homogeneous solutions to some aggregation models

open access: yes, 2004
Vasculogenesis, i.e. self-assembly of endothelial cells leading to capillary network formation, has been the object of many experimental investigations in recent years, due to its relevance both in physiological and in pathological conditions.
