New records for the Australian burrower bug species (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Cydnidae)
Heteroptera Poloniae - Acta FaunisticaNew records are presented for 23 Australian species of the family Cydnidae (Pentatomoidea). Alonips papuanus is documented for the first time in Australia. The first precise localities for Aethus parvulus in Australia are provided. Additionally, five species are reported as new records for Australian states and territories. These are Byrsinus ochraceus

Ecological Solutions and Evidence, Volume 7, Issue 4, October–December 2026.Our study compares motion‐activated camera traps with conventional direct observation using 6 years of bird‐monitoring data from Jeju Island. Camera traps recorded additional species and revealed detection biases linked to camera height and bird‐to‐camera distance, complementing observer‐based surveys.
