The Multi-INstrument Burst ARchive (MINBAR) [PDF]

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series, Volume 249, Number 2, 2020, 2020
We present the largest sample of type-I (thermonuclear) X-ray bursts yet assembled, comprising 7083 bursts from 85 bursting sources. The sample is drawn from observations with Xenon-filled proportional counters on the long-duration satellites RXTE, BeppoSAX and INTEGRAL, between 1996 February 8, and 2012 May 3.

Discussion on National Standard for Burst Tendency of Combined Coal and Rock

open access: yesMeikuang Anquan, 2020
Burst tendency has always been one of the hot issues in the research of rock burst. The national recommended standard GB/T 25217.3—2019 regulates the evaluation of the burst tendency of combined coal and rock specimens.

Enhancing the Quality of Service for Real Time Traffic over Optical Burst Switching (OBS) Networks with Ensuring the Fairness for Other Traffics. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2016
Optical burst switching (OBS) networks have been attracting much consideration as a promising approach to build the next generation optical Internet. A solution for enhancing the Quality of Service (QoS) for high priority real time traffic over OBS with ...

Controlled sequential in situ self-assembly and disassembly of a fluorogenic cisplatin prodrug for cancer theranostics

open access: yesNature Communications, 2023
Manipulating molecular self-assembly and disassembly in vivo may permit temporal control of drug delivery and release. Here, the authors report a fluorogenic cisplatin prodrug for cancer theranostics by leveraging stimuli-triggered in situ self-assembly ...

Demonstration of long-reach PON using 10 Gb/s 3R burst-mode wavelength converter [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Long-reach optical access networks promise significant cost savings. To merge existing metro and access networks to a single long-reach network, the long-reach technology has to address not only the power loss and fiber dispersion problems but also ...

A neutron fluence map of the Los Alamos National Laboratory Godiva IV critical assembly [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
A neutron fluence map and a total ionizing dose map of the Los Alamos National Laboratory Godiva IV fast burst critical assembly was generated using passive reactor dosimetry, comprised of sulfur pellets and thermoluminescent dosimeters.

Control of lipid organization and actin assembly during clathrin-mediated endocytosis by the cytoplasmic tail of the rhomboid protein Rbd2. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Clathrin-mediated endocytosis (CME) is facilitated by a precisely regulated burst of actin assembly. PtdIns(4,5)P2 is an important signaling lipid with conserved roles in CME and actin assembly regulation. Rhomboid family multipass transmembrane proteins
