Quantifying basic colors' salience from cross‐linguistic corpora
From the Basic Color Terms Hierarchy of Berlin and Kay to our proposal based on corpus data from 57 Languages. Abstract A corpus‐based quantitative assessment of Berlin and Kay's proposal is presented. We refine the Basic Color Terms hierarchy proposed by Berlin and Kay, through the concept of salience.

Buryat genealogical nickname-formulas
Nicknames-formulas represent a little-studied layer of Buryat folklore and function as stable verbal formulas that establish the characteristics of particular ethnic groups based on various traits. This study focuses on genealogical nicknames-formulas—expressions closely linked to legends about the origin of Buryat tribes and clans.

Traditional Buryat Beliefs About Birds
This study, based on ethnographic, linguistic, and folk materials, describes and interprets Buryat ideas of birds. The analysis of lexical data reveals the principal groups of birds according to the Buryat folk classification. The bat’s status is indistinct, since bats are not subordinate to the kings of the animal world.
