Ferrofluid‐Based Bioink for 3D Printed Skeletal Muscle Tissues with Enhanced Force and Magnetic Response

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The integration of ferrofluid consisting of citrated iron oxide nanoparticles into muscle cell‐laden ink to obtain magnetic‐responsive muscle tissue (i.e., ferromuscle) allows not only an easy printability process to integrate magnetic components in 3D printed tissues, but also impacts positively in terms of tissue differentiation and increased force ...

Functionalized Antifouling Polymer Brushes for Biospecific Surfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Modern biosensors offer high sensitivity but often struggle with long‐term stability and selectivity for specific targets. Antifouling polymer brushes help enhance both stability and selectivity. In this review, we compare recent antifouling coatings, their design parameters, and how they are integrated with biorecognition elements for improved ...

Business processes as business systems

open access: yesTehnički glasnik, 2018
Business process is the foundation of the work organization of every business. It is a set of different activities or tasks that are carried out in a certain order and use certain resources of an organization with the aim of fulfilling the mission or the purpose of its existence. As each business process is defined by parameters such as output quality,

Remote‐Controlled Wireless Bioelectronics for Fluoxetine Therapy to Promote Wound Healing in a Porcine Model

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A wireless bioelectronic ion pump platform is developed for controlled fluoxetine delivery for wound healing in a large mammal model. Over 3 days, treated wounds showed 37% greater re‐epithelialization and a 33% lower ratio of pro‐inflammatory to reparative macrophages.

How to Manufacture Photonic Metamaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Metamaterials boast applications such as invisibility and “hyperlenses” with resolution beyond the diffraction limit, but these applications haven’t been exploited in earnest and the market for them hasn’t grown much likely because facile and economical methods for fabricating them without defect has not emerged.

Disrupting J‐Aggregation in Triazatruxene Dimers to Develop Responsive Luminescent Inks for Anti‐Counterfeiting Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 13, Issue 8, March 13, 2025.
This study investigates the stimulus‐responsive behavior of trialkylated triazatruxene dimers for third‐generation luminescent security inks. In particular, the derivative with flexible dodecyl chains displays high‐contrast, reversible color changes upon heating or shear, driven by liquid crystalline phase transitions and involving J ...

Are “Human Rights” the “Business of Business”? [PDF]

open access: yesZeitschrift für Wirtschafts- und Unternehmensethik, 2005
When the UN Global Compact was introduced in 1999 by Kofi Annan at the World Economic Forum in Davos, companies were asked to embrace, support, and enact, within their sphere of influence, a set of core values in the areas of human rights, labor standards, the environment and since June 2004 also including anti-corruption. Thus any company that pledges

Below 1% Reflectance for Black GaAs Surface Prepared by Facile Two‐Step Wet Chemical Treatment: Hydrogen Peroxide and Water

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
Black GaAs surface which decreases light reflectivity forms in surprising way when GaAs is kept first in hot hydrogen peroxide solution and then in hot‐water solution. To increase performance of many photonic devices (e.g., solar cell, light emitting diode (LED), photodetector), it is essential to decrease light reflection at device interfaces ...
