Deterministic Petri net languages as business process specification language. [PDF]

open access: yes
Today, a wide variety of techniques have been proposed to model the process aspects of business processes. The problem, however, is that many of these are focused on providing a clear graphical representation of the models and give almost no support for ...

Disrupting J‐Aggregation in Triazatruxene Dimers to Develop Responsive Luminescent Inks for Anti‐Counterfeiting Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 13, Issue 8, March 13, 2025.
This study investigates the stimulus‐responsive behavior of trialkylated triazatruxene dimers for third‐generation luminescent security inks. In particular, the derivative with flexible dodecyl chains displays high‐contrast, reversible color changes upon heating or shear, driven by liquid crystalline phase transitions and involving J ...

Temperature‐Dependent Zinc Oxide Cathodoluminescence: Toward Compact Wavelength‐Tunable Solid‐State Photoionization Sources

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A proof‐of‐concept of a thermally‐tunable cathodoluminescence‐based light source is demonstrated using a wide‐bandgap z‐cut ZnO crystal as anode, resulting in the ultraviolet (UV) emission peak shifting from 398 nm to ~409 nm (3.115‐3.032 eV). Our results establish the feasibility of a compact, field‐deployable UV source with potential for gas sensing ...

Semantically-Aided Business Process Modeling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Enriching business process models with semantic annotations taken from an ontology has become a crucial necessity both in service provisioning, integration and composition, and in business processes management. In our work we represent semantically annotated business processes as part of an OWL knowledge base that formalises the business process ...
