Fatigue and Rutting Performance of FAA and Conventional Asphalt Mixture Systems

open access: yesFatigue &Fracture of Engineering Materials &Structures, Volume 49, Issue 8, Page 3500-3511, August 2026.
ABSTRACT This study evaluates the laboratory fatigue and rutting performance of two specification‐compliant asphalt mixture systems: an FAA‐compliant airfield mixture designed according to FAA AC 150/5370‐10H and a conventional highway mixture designed according to the Turkish General Directorate of Highways requirements.

Urinary Volatile Organic Compound Metabolites Are Associated With MASLD/MASH in Humans and Induce Steatosis in Liver Organoids

open access: yesLiver International, Volume 46, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Volatile organic compound (VOC) exposure is an environmental health concern and could, through the liver exposome, be associated with metabolic dysfunction associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) progression. Methods We analysed NHANES 2017–2020, a U.S.

Al and Cu Oxalates in Li‐Ion Battery Electrolytes: Comparative Observations and Recycling Consequences

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 14, 17 July 2026.
We evaluated Al‐ and Cu‐oxalates as model contaminants in LP30 electrolyte for NMC811‖graphite cells. In vinylene carbonate (VC)‐free electrolytes, cells retain capacity and impedance at maximum oxalate loading; the introduction of VC, however, triggers increased internal resistance, accelerated capacity fade, and Al‐containing surface films.

Design of Experiments‐Based Optimization of Recovered Carbon Black–Reinforced Isobutylene–Isoprene Rubber in Comparison With Conventional Carbon Black Systems

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, Volume 143, Issue 27, July 15, 2026.
Optimized potential of rCB via DOE: recovered carbon black from end‐of‐life tires was assessed as a full substitute for conventional carbon black in IIR composites. DOE and response surface methodology optimized rCB loading, plasticizer, and sulfur contents. Hardness showed linear trends, while rupture energy was nonlinear.

Nuclear Quantum Effects on the Organic Bifurcation Reaction in Microsolvated Water Clusters: Ring‐Polymer Molecular Dynamics Calculations Using an Explicit Solvation Model

open access: yesJournal of Computational Chemistry, Volume 47, Issue 19, 15 July 2026.
Ring‐polymer molecular dynamics in explicit water clusters shows that nuclear quantum effects steer an organic bifurcation reaction—enhancing the minor (4 + 2) channel and accelerating water‐mediated proton transfer—proving that accurate aqueous reaction dynamics require both explicit solvation and nuclear quantum effects. ABSTRACT Solvent environments

Reaction Enumeration Based on NBO‐Informed Molecular Graphs

open access: yesJournal of Computational Chemistry, Volume 47, Issue 19, 15 July 2026.
NBO‐informed molecular graphs represent chemistry via valence orbitals rather than atomic connectivity, enabling consistent reaction analysis across environments. By identifying delocalized motifs and increasing complexity adaptively, the framework enables efficient exploration of inaccessible mechanisms and diverse catalytic and reaction networks for ...
