tris‐Schiff Base Derivatives Containing Flurbiprofen as Potential Tyrosinase Inhibitors: Synthesis, In Vitro Evaluation, Molecular Docking, DFT and Dynamics Simulations

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 10, October 2026.
New tris‐Schiff base derivatives of marketed accessible flurbiprofen were synthesised in better yields through multi‐step reactions. Structures of these compounds were deduced through 13C‐NMR and 1H‐NMR spectroscopic methods and finally screened for their in vitro tyrosinase inhibitory potential.

Hyperpolarization of Pyridine 15N‐Oxide Molecular Probes Enabled by Parahydrogen

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 37, 7 September 2026.
Pyridine 15N‐oxides are introduced as motifs for hyperpolarization studies and biochemical applications are demonstrated. ABSTRACT Magnetic resonance (MR) is a powerful non‐invasive technique for probing structural, functional, and metabolic processes with high spatial and temporal resolution.

CO2 as a Redox Shuttle Enables Photocatalytic Dehydrogenative Decarbonylation of Biomass‐Derived Alcohols to Light Alkanes

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 39, 21 September 2026.
A heterogeneous photocatalytic system has been developed that enables the dehydrogenative decarbonylation of primary alcohols under visible light using highly dispersed oxidic iron sites supported on aryl‐modified graphitic carbon nitride (Fe@f–gC3N4).

Borylcyclopropanes: Synthetic Strategies and Applications

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 37, 7 September 2026.
Borylcyclopropanes (cyclopropanes bearing a boron substituent) sit at the intersection of two privileged frameworks in synthesis. This review provides the first exhaustive survey of their chemistry, spanning metal–carbene, nucleophilic cyclization, radical, hydroboration, and C─H activation routes, and documenting applications in medicinal chemistry ...

Reaction Environment Engineering for Selective C3+ Formation in CO2 Electroreduction: Progress and Perspectives

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 37, 7 September 2026.
This work focuses on how to improve the selectivity and activity of electrocatalytic CO2 reduction to C3+ products, by the integration of electrocatalyst and electrolyte co‐design. We summarize key C3+ formation mechanisms and provide a comprehensive reaction network through thermodynamic analysis.

Photoredox/Pyridine N‐Oxide Catalyzed Acyl Radical Generation From Aldehydes for Divergent Synthesis of Pyrroles and Carbocyclic Ketones

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, Volume 368, Issue 18, 19 September 2026.
Pyridine N‐oxides serve as photoinduced HAT catalysts to convert simple aldehydes into acyl radicals catalyzed by organophotocatalysts. Reacting these intermediates with alkynes opens aldehyde‐dependent pathways to densely functionalized pyrroles, substituted cyclopentanones, and indanones.
