Endocarp Removal Enhances Butia capitata (Mart.) Becc. (Pindo Palm) Seed Germination [PDF]
Germination rate was significantly improved by removing the thick, hard endocarp from Butia capitata (pindo palm) fruit. Time to 50% of final germination rate was not affected by endocarp removal. Afterripening storage did not improve germination rate or time.

Digital phenotyping of Butia capitata fruits for genetic improvement: a case study
ABSTRACT The analysis of genetic variability in germplasm banks is essential for the success of breeding programs. However, such analyses traditionally require time, labor, and high financial resources. With the growing accessibility of equipment and decreasing costs of image acquisition and processing, image phenotyping emerges as a promising tool for

Cultivo in vitro de embriões de coquinho azedo (Butia capitata (Mart.) Becc)
The experiments were conducted in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais and the fruits of Butia capitata (Mart) Becc were collected in the region of Montes Claros - MG. Different embryo immersion times were tested in the first experiment, using 0.25% chlorine solution for 10, 20 or 30 minutes, and immersed, or not, for 10 minutes in a solution of the fungicide ...
