Design and implementation of a patch-fractal antenna with phase control using Butler matrix

open access: yesMaskay
The study presents the successful design and implementation of a phase-controlled patch-fractal antenna using the Butler array. This work focuses on developing a laboratory prototype of a 4x4 array using microstrip technology.

The Effects of the Dark and Light Triad Traits on Entrepreneurs' Coping Strategies and Psychological Well‐Being

open access: yesStrategic Change, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Research has often portrayed entrepreneurs in largely positive terms, reflecting their contributions to innovation, employment, and economic growth. At the same time, it is well recognized that entrepreneurial activity can also involve harmful and unethical behaviors, as evidenced by numerous cases of misconduct among business owners and ...

Open-Loop Beamforming Technique for MIMO System and Its Practical Realization

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2011
The concept of close-loop beamforming for MIMO system was well known proposed the singular value decomposition on channel matrix. This technique can improve the capacity performance, but the cost of feedback channel and the complexity processing discard

Implementation of a New and Modified Scheme of Butler Matrix for C-Band Applications with Enhanced Characteristics [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2020
In this paper, the structure of a miniaturized broadband 4 × 4 Butler matrix is presented. All components of the proposed feeding network are designed in a way that they have the smallest electrical size and acceptable performance in the C band.

Design and Implementation of Butler Matrix

open access: yesThe Journal of Korea Information and Communications Society, 2014
Beam forming techniques are used to increase the efficiency of using frequency. In this paper we design and implement Butler matrix to be used for ISM band. The implemented Butler matrix has the insertion loss of maximum 6.7dB and the maximum phase shift error of over 2.4~2.485GHz.

C II abundances in early-type stars: solution to a notorious non-LTE problem

open access: yes, 2006
We address a long-standing discrepancy between non-LTE analyses of the prominent C II 4267 and 6578/82 A multiplets in early-type stars. A comprehensive non-LTE model atom of C II is constructed based on critically selected atomic data.

Quantifying Protein–Glycan Interactions Using Native Mass Spectrometry

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Interactions between glycan‐binding proteins (GBPs) and carbohydrates (glycans) are essential to many biological processes relevant to human health and disease. For most GBPs, however, their glycan interactome—the repertoire of glycans recognized and their specificities—is poorly defined.

Implications of heterogeneous embankment conditions for geoelectrical investigations on dams: A case study at Mactaquac Dam, Canada

open access: yesNear Surface Geophysics, EarlyView.
Abstract Electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) has been shown to be effective for surveying and monitoring dams, due to the method's sensitivity to moisture content and relevant physical properties (e.g., porosity). Automated ERT systems, capable of time‐lapse monitoring, can be used to detect variations in ground conditions.
