Prioritizing Shark, Ray, and Chimaera Conservation in Rapidly Changing Polar Waters
Polar sharks, rays, and chimaeras face growing pressures from changing sea‐ice conditions, expanding fisheries, and limited protection. Our assessment highlights where critical habitats occur and how Important Shark and Ray Areas (ISRAs) can support more targeted conservation and fisheries management across the Arctic and Antarctic.
