Nuclear Alpha‐Synuclein: Mechanisms and Implications for Synucleinopathies

open access: yesMovement Disorders, EarlyView.
Abstract Alpha‐synuclein (aSyn), historically studied for its synaptic functions and central role in Lewy body pathology, is emerging as a protein with significant nuclear activities relevant to Parkinson's disease (PD) and related synucleinopathies. Recent advances reveal that aSyn dynamically localizes to neuronal nuclei in both health and disease ...

Truncated FOS impairs osteogenic differentiation and induces prostaglandin and NFκB signalling in an in vitro cell‐of‐origin model for osteoid osteoma and osteoblastoma

open access: yesThe Journal of Pathology, EarlyView.
Abstract Osteoid osteoma and osteoblastoma are non‐malignant bone‐forming tumours of the skeleton, characterised by the presence of irregular trabeculae of woven bone. Rearrangements in FOS, and less frequently FOSB, have recently been identified in osteoid osteoma and osteoblastoma.

Establishment and Comparative Analysis of Radiation‐Induced Liver Disease in Normal and Fibrotic Rat Models

open access: yesPrecision Radiation Oncology, EarlyView.
This study successfully established two novel rat models of radiation‐induced liver disease (RILD), one in healthy livers and the other in TAA‐induced fibrotic livers, providing valuable insights into the combined effects of radiation and pre‐existing fibrosis.

Why Autonomous Vehicles Are Not Ready Yet: A Multi‐Disciplinary Review of Problems, Attempted Solutions, and Future Directions

open access: yesJournal of Field Robotics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Personal autonomous vehicles can sense their surrounding environment, plan their route, and drive with little or no involvement of human drivers. Despite the latest technological advancements and the hopeful announcements made by leading entrepreneurs, to date no personal vehicle is approved for road circulation in a “fully” or “semi ...
