Microbial communities in a Mediterranean subterranean estuary show spatially structured nitrogen‐cycling potential across hydrochemical zones. Microbial properties, more than environmental variables, predict NO2− and NH4+ concentrations, highlighting their key role in controlling nitrogen transformations prior to submarine groundwater discharge ...

ABSTRACT The sustainability of Southeast Asian fisheries hinges on high‐throughput tools for monitoring early life‐stage fish biodiversity. However, applying DNA metabarcoding to hyper‐diverse tropical ichthyoplankton requires rigorous calibration to ensure quantitative reliability.

In a 28‐day soil microcosm experiment, bacterial communities responded differently to imidacloprid across contrasting soil textures, with soil‐dependent changes in community structure, interaction networks and functional pathways, while overall diversity remained largely stable.

ABSTRACT Understanding how different biodiversity dimensions recover following disturbance is critical for interpreting forest successional trajectories. We examined this question in a protected remnant of Araucaria Mixed Forest (AMF) in subtropical southern Brazil, a frost‐prone montane system with multiple anthropogenic disturbance legacies.

AP‐1B Controls Several Levels of Cell Proliferation and Differentiation in Mouse Enteroids
We show that in mouse intestinal organoids, AP‐1B is implicated in apical polarity, differentiation in the secretory lineage and proliferation. In particular, we propose that proliferation is controlled by AP‐1B via the mTOR and YAP pathways. Arrows show the functional links that were elucidated in this study, and dotted lines show putative downstream ...
