Hemithyroidectomy versus total thyroidectomy for well differentiated T1–2 N0 thyroid cancer: systematic review and meta‐analysis

This systematic review and meta‐analysis showed similar recurrence rates after hemithyroidectomy for selected patients with well differentiated T1–2 N0 thyroid cancer to those in patients who had a total thyroidectomy with or without radioactive iodine treatment, with lower reported rates of treatment‐related complications.
