Targeting DAP5 Disrupts Alternate Mode of Translational Initiation in Tregs and Potentiates Antitumor Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Regulatory T cells (Tregs) suppress antitumor immunity. This study identifies that the translation scaffold DAP5/eIF4G2 is upregulated in tumor‐infiltrating Tregs (ti‐Tregs). DAP5 mediates an alternate translation mode to sustain CD25 and MCL‐1 expression, which is critical for ti‐Treg stability and survival in the tumor microenvironment.

Identification of a mitophagy-related gene signature for predicting overall survival and response to immunotherapy in rectal cancer

open access: yesBMC Cancer
Background Rectal cancer is a highly heterogeneous gastrointestinal tumor, and the prognosis for patients with treatment-resistant and metastatic rectal cancer remains poor. Mitophagy, a type of selective autophagy that targets mitochondria, plays a role

Single‐Cell Morphomechanics of Prostate Cancer‐Associated Fibroblasts Identifies Distinct Features Associated with Patient Outcome

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) in prostate tumors exhibit distinct morphomechanical traits vs normal fibroblasts, including greater stiffness and volume, more elongated stress fibres, and larger and more elongated nuclei. These features, quantified through imaging and real‐time deformability cytometry, correlate with patient outcomes and can be ...
