1,2-Ethylenediaminium bis(2-benzamidobenzoate)
In the title salt, C2H10N22+·2C14H10NO3−, the ethylenediaminium dication lies on an inversion centre. In the anion, the benzene rings make a dihedral angle of 33.87 (9)° and intramolecular N—H...O and C—H...O hydrogen ...

First Order Temperature Dependent Phase Transition in a Monoclinic Polymorph Crystal of 1,6-Hexanedioic Acid: An Interpretation Based on the Landau Theory Approach [PDF]
Crystals of 1,6-hexanedioic acid (I) undergo a temperature-dependent reversible phase transition from monoclinic P21/c at a temperature higher than the critical temperature (Tc) 130 K to another monoclinic P21/c at temperature lower than Tc.

Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Site selectivity of halogen oxygen bonding in 5- and 6-haloderivatives of uracil [PDF]
Seven 5-and 6-halogenated derivatives of uracil or 1-methyluracil (halogen = Cl, Br, I) were studied by single crystal X-ray diffraction. In contrast with pure 5-halouracils, where the presence of N-H…O and C-H…O hydrogen bonds prevents the formation ...

Abruptly changing from aerobic to anaerobic conditions (sudden anaerobization) induced growth inhibition and a significant increase in intracellular labile ferrous iron in the aerotolerant anaerobe Amphibacillus xylanus. We found that free flavins mediate efficient electron transfer from NADH to ferric iron under anaerobic conditions, suggesting that ...

In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

Ethyl 4-(4-chloroanilino)-1-(4-chlorophenyl)-2-methyl-5-oxo-2,5-dihydro-1H-pyrrole-2-carboxylate
In the title compound, C20H18Cl2N2O3, the dihedral angles between the central 2,5-dihydro-1H-pyrrole ring and the phenyl rings are 74.87 (9) and 29.09 (9)°. Intramolecular N—H...O and C—H...O hydrogen bonds occur.

Cutaneous Melanoma Drives Metabolic Changes in the Aged Bone Marrow Immune Microenvironment
Melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer, increasingly affects older adults. Our study reveals that melanoma induces changes in iron and lipid levels in the bone marrow, impacting immune cell populations and increasing susceptibility to ferroptosis.

Methyl 2-allyl-4-hydroxy-2H-1,2-benzothiazine-3-carboxylate 1,1-dioxide
In the title compound, C13H13NO5S, the thiazine ring adopts a distorted half-chair conformation. Intramolecular O—H...O and C—H...O hydrogen bonds give rise to two six-membered hydrogen bonded rings.
