Pressure Tuning of an Ionic Insulator into a Heavy Electron Metal: An Infrared Study of YbS [PDF]
Optical conductivity [$\sigma(\omega)$] of YbS has been measured under pressure up to 20 GPa. Below 8 GPa, $\sigma(\omega)$ is low since YbS is an insulator with an energy gap between fully occupied 4$f$ state and unoccupied conduction ($c$) band.

Simulation of shoreline change using AIRSAR and POLSAR C-band data [PDF]
This paper presents a new approach for modeling shoreline change due to wave energy effects from remotely sensed data. The airborne AIRSAR and POLSAR data were employed to extract wave spectra information and integrate them with historical remotely ...

Melting-layer modelling at C-Band [PDF]
Stratiform cloud formations, such as a uniform type of precipitating clouds, are sub dividable into layers with different aggregate states. In this way, it is adaptable to measurements with polarimetric radar.

Design of high gradient, high repetition rate damped C-band rf structures [PDF]
The gamma beam system of the European Extreme Light Infrastructure–Nuclear Physics project foresees the use of a multibunch train colliding with a high intensity recirculated laser pulse. The linac energy booster is composed of 12 traveling wave C-band

Sequential Q- and C-band staining of pig chromosomes, and some comments on C-band polymorphism and C-band technique [PDF]
Sequential Q- and C-band staining of chromosomes of domestic pig (Sus scrofa domestica) is presented, probably for the first time, and the C-band pattern is described. Large C-bands were usually found on pair Nos. 1, 13, 15, 16, and 18, but in some animals large C-bands were found on other pairs, too.
