Abstract This paper examines the new form of C-band direct and investigates the problems surrounding it, specifically the issue of scrambling, and the actions taken by Congress and the FCC. It begins with a discussion of the emergence of C-band direct and then gives the different views on scrambling.

A Design Study of a C-Band Crestatron [PDF]
Abstract : This memorandum presents a design study of a high power C-band Crestatron Amplifier. While conventional helix traveling-wave tubes (TWT's) are operated in an exponentially growing-wave mode, the Crestatron operates a "beating-wave" regime where three constant-amplitude voltage waves traveling at different phase velocities along the helix ...

Giemsa C-banding of Rhoeo (Commelinaceae)
Genetica, 1987The C-banded karyotypes of the three known varieties of Rhoeo are presented for the first time. Each variety displayed the same banding pattern with C-bands identified at all centromeres and some telomeres. In addition, the karyotype of a rare bivalent-forming Rhoeo was ascertained to consist of two α complexes using C-banding.
