C-erbB-2 Immunostaining in Laryngeal Cancer

Acta Oto-Laryngologica, 1999
Tumour progression is strongly associated with a series of specific genetic changes in protooncogenes and tumour suppressor genes. One of the potential factors involved in tumorogenesis of squamous cell carcinomas is protooncogene c-erbB-2 (also known as neu or HER2). The authors analysed the expression of c-erbB-2 oncoprotein in 154 cases of laryngeal

C‐ErbB‐2 Oncoprotein Immunostaining In Serous Effusions

Cytopathology, 1993
The product of c‐erbB‐2 gene is detected in a proportion of carcinomas from various sites and is generally associated with a high degree of malignancy. A series of 58 effusions containing malignant cells and 16 cytologically negative serous effusions was assessed by immunocyto‐chemical methods for c‐erbB‐2 expression using the monoclonal antibody NCL ...

c-erbB-2 Gene Amplification in Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma

Cancer Investigation, 2000
Amplification of the c-erbB-2 gene has been associated with poor prognosis in different types of cancer. However, there are no data on the c-erbB-2 expression levels in nasopharyngeal cancer. In this study, amplification of the gene has been investigated in the tumor tissue of patients with nasopharyngeal cancer by competitive polymerase chain reaction

Identity of BCA200 and c-erbB-2 indicated by reactivity of monoclonal antibodies with recombinant c-erbB-2

Molecular Immunology, 1991
BCA200 has been described as a 200,000 Mr monomeric cell surface glycoprotein associated with human breast cancer. Since the physical properties and cellular distribution of BCA200 resemble those of c-erbB-2, antibodies to BCA200 were tested for the ability to bind a recombinant protein containing the c-erbB-2 extracellular domain (erbB-2 ECD).
