Multi‐Tissue Genetic Regulation of RNA Editing in Pigs
This study presents the first multi‐tissue map of RNA editing and its genetic regulation in pigs. By integrating RNA editing profiles, edQTL mapping, GWAS, and cross‐species comparisons, this work establishes RNA editing as a distinct regulatory layer linking genetic variation to complex traits, highlighting its functional and evolutionary significance.

The roles of Irx3 and Irx5 in mammalian inner ear development [PDF]
Iroquois genes encode a family of transcription factors containing TALE class homeodomain. They are regarded as prepatterning genes in Drosophila sensory organ development. There are six members (Irx1Irx6) of Iroquois genes in mouse and human.

c-maf in multiple myeloma: an oncogene enhancing tumor-stroma interactions.
Gene expression profiling studies reported by Hurt et al. in this issue of Cancer Cell reveal an unexpectedly frequent overexpression of c-maf in multiple myeloma and identify molecular targets of c-maf transactivation. The results define c-maf as a prototype of a class of oncogenes that not only stimulate cell cycle progression, but also promote ...

Mitochondria‐targeted silver single‐atom carbon dot (T‐AgSA‐CDs) nanozymes enable dual SOD/GPx‐like ROS scavenging, real‐time imaging, and therapeutic effects for acute kidney injury (AKI). Atomically dispersed Ag sites synergize with carbon dots to restore renal redox hemostasis, protect mitochondrial function, mitigate inflammation, facilitate post ...

In this study, the orange‐muscle giant abalone (Haliotis gigantea) is used as a model to identify a non‐coding SNP that disrupts the interaction between ITGA8 pre‐mRNA and the splicing factor ILF2, leading to altered ITGA8 splicing. These splicing changes promote carotenoid accumulation in abalone muscle through the regulation of tissue remodeling ...

Role of c-Maf in Chondrocyte Differentiation
Chondrocyte differentiation in the growth plate is an important process for the longitudinal growth of endochondral bones. Sox9 and Runx2 are the most often-studied transcriptional regulators of the chondrocyte differentiation process, but the importance of additional factors is also becoming apparent.

Thermal cyclotrimerization of nitriles converts interfacial discontinuity in MAF‐stu‐1/PIM‐1 MMMs into a continuity‐enhanced junction. Triazine–Zn2+ coordination between TR‐PIM chains and MAF‐stu‐1, together with hydrogen bonding and π–π stacking, lowers interfacial tension and builds selective CO2 pathways, enabling > 10 000 barrer CO2 permeability ...
