ヒト乳癌における熱ショック蛋白質70とc-myc蛋白質の発現に関する研究 [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
The major heat shock protein, HSP70, protects cells from a variety of stressful stimuli, while c-myc protein allegedly stimulates expression of HSP70 by transacting on the HSP70 promotor. This study was aimed at correlating expression of HSP70 with that ...

A new mutation-independent approach to cancer therapy : inhibiting oncogenic RAS and MYC, by targeting mitochondrial biogenesis. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Here, we used MCF7 cells as a model system to interrogate how MYC/RAS co-operativity contributes to metabolic flux and stemness in breast cancer cells.

Macrophages and c-Myc cross paths [PDF]

open access: yesOncoImmunology, 2016
The c-Myc transcription factor has recently been proposed as a bona fide M2 macrophage marker. Although this finding represents a major step forward in the identification of different macrophage subsets, it also opens up the potential for speculation concerning the possible functions of c-Myc in macrophages and the implications for health and disease.

Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 increases metastatic potential and aggressiveness in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

Differentiation-Inducing Factor-1 Suppresses the Expression of c-Myc in the Human Cancer Cell Lines

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacological Sciences, 2013
Differentiation-inducing factor-1 (DIF-1), a morphogen for Dictyostelium discoideum, inhibits the proliferation of human cancer cell lines by suppressing the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway.

Potensi Kemopreventif Ekstrak Etanolik Kulit Jeruk Keprok (Citrus Reticulata) Pada Karsinogenesis Sel Hepar Tikus Galur Sprague Dawley Terinduksi Dmba [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011

Targeting c-MYC with T-Cells

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
Over-expression of the proto-oncogene c-MYC is frequently observed in a variety of tumors and is a hallmark of Burkitt´s lymphoma. The fact that many tumors are oncogene-addicted to c-MYC, renders c-MYC a powerful target for anti-tumor therapy. Using a xenogenic vaccination strategy by immunizing C57BL/6 mice with human c-MYC protein or non-homologous ...

Naked cuticle is essential for Drosophila wing development beyond Wingless signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Naked cuticle (Nkd), a Wnt signaling inhibitor, assumes extensive roles in Drosophila wing development. Overexpressing Nkd causes smaller, crumpled wings, while also perturbing multiple signaling pathways and developmental genes. A specific region (R1S) is critical for Nkd's function as a signaling integrator, offering new insights for studying its ...

SIRT4 positively regulates autophagy via ULK1, but independently of HDAC6 and OPA1

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Cells expressing SIRT4 (H161Y), a catalytically inactive mutant of the sirtuin SIRT4, fail to upregulate LC3B‐II and exhibit a reduced autophagic flux under stress conditions. Interestingly, SIRT4(H161Y) promotes phosphorylation of ULK1 at S638 and S758 that are associated with inhibition of autophagy initiation.
