B-Scan and C-Scan Imaging in the Orbit
1978Many authors (Coleman et al., 1972; Ossoinig & Till, 1975) have reported the use of A-scan and B-scan techniques in orbital diagnosis.

Acoustic lens characterization for ultrasound and photoacoustic C-scan imaging modalities
2008 30th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, 2008From a fundamental perspective, image reconstruction tasks in both ultrasound pulse echo and photoacoustic imaging are identical. We propose a C-scan imaging scheme that is applicable to both modalities where the image reconstruction is achieved through focusing action of an acoustic lens.

Three-Dimensional Ultrasound C-Scan Imaging Using Holographic Reconstruction
IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control, 1986A three-dimensional ultrasound C-scan imaging method based on holographic reconstruction has been developed. Using wide angle coherent illumination of the object and holographic principles, high lateral resolution is achieved throughout the imaging space.

Research of Ultrasonic C-scan Imaging Lateral Resolution
2019 IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics and Automation (ICMA), 2019Aiming at the problem of reflective C-scan imaging lateral resolution, this paper proposes to use the right-angle crack reflection method to measure the lateral resolution of ultrasonic transducers. According to the theoretical sound field distribution at the focal plane of the ultrasonic transducer, the corresponding line response function and the ...

C-scan enhancement using recursive subspace deconvolution
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2002C-scan images are formed by mapping the windowed A-scan energy levels into pixel values. This operation limits the resolution of the resulting image due to the blurring effect of squared summations and the mechanical positioning resolution. However, one feature that is found in all such images that they are usually scanned in a raster scanning fashion (

Use of the C-scan in evaluation of peripheral lymphedema.
Lymphology, 1997The C-(cutaneous)-scan constitutes a simple way to evaluate the status of the lymphatic system of swollen and apparently normal extremities. We have termed the procedure C-scan because this expression emphasizes the injection of the radiotracer into the cutis.

Vibro-Acoustography: Speckle Free Ultrasonic C-Scan
2002In an in vitro experiment the acoustic emission characteristics of broken and intact struts on BSCC valves exhibited different frequency responses and different vibro-acoustography images. The images indicated that the vibration modes of the object could be deduced in addition to the structural integrity of the object.

An efficient hole-filling algorithm for C-scan enhancement
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2002In this paper, a simple interpolation technique is presented that can approximate the broken edges of an image by polynomial approximation of the vicinities of the open ends. A preprocessing step of ‘specifying’ the abscissa for the binary image pixels. This corresponds to re re-arranging the co-existing pixels with a small and monic displacement. This

Screening of Metal Matrix Composites Using Ultrasonic C-Scans
Journal of Composites Technology and Research, 1989Ultrasonic C-scans can be used to find some types of defects in continuous fiber-reinforced metal matrix composites such as boron/aluminum composites. These defects are related to the fatigue behavior and fracture location of each inspected specimen. The C-scan technique determined the relative amount of defects in boron/aluminum composites.

Development of a Manipulator Free Mobile Ultrasonic C-Scan System
Key Engineering Materials, 2006Ultrasonic C-scan inspections have been used in various industrial fields. Usually, conventional ultrasonic C-scan systems have several mechanical manipulating axis controlled by a computer or an electronic device. These systems are suitable for the high resolution and inspection quality.
