Ozone‐driven degradation of sex pheromone in Plutella xylostella: Implications for reproductive communication and mating success

open access: yesInsect Science, EarlyView.
In this study, we examined whether realistic ozone concentrations can interfere with sexual communication in the insect pest Plutella xylostella, the diamondback moth. Ozone exposure caused a degradation of pheromone components, leading to significant changes in blend composition and component ratios.

Peroxiredoxin 4 Involved in Spermatogenesis by Affecting Oxidative Stress and Ferroptosis

open access: yesAndrology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background The main functions of testes are sperm production and androgen secretion in testicular befitting microenvironment. Excessive level of the reactive oxygen species (ROS) from metabolism and cellular events can lead to oxidative stress (OS) and ferroptosis, which injure the functions of mitochondria and endoplasmic reticulum (ER) of ...

Extending reliability to intensive longitudinal data with the Kalman filter

open access: yesBritish Journal of Mathematical and Statistical Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract Reliability is central to how researchers approach measurement in standard, group‐based analyses of single‐time‐point data, yet this critical aspect is often overlooked in the analysis of repeated observations. Since its inception, reliability has been a between‐person concept, but we redevelop this notion for within‐person designs by ...
