Substitution of Ti by Nb in Maraging Steel: Effects on Strengthening Mechanisms and Crystallographic Behavior

open access: yessteel research international, Volume 97, Issue 5, Page 2672-2692, May 2026.
This work demonstrates that replacing Ti with Nb in maraging steel forms nanoscale Nb–Mo particles along boundaries, strengthening the alloy without relying on Ti phases. Heat‐treatment tuning promotes uniform crystal orientation and balanced grain boundaries, enabling strong yet ductile behavior.

Hydrochlorides, hydrates, hydronitrate, and an unanticipated hydrolysis product of famotidine

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section C, Volume 82, Issue 5, Page 241-249, May 2026.
The structures of a new polymorph of famotidine hydrochloride, a famotidine hydrochloride hydrate, a new hydronitrate salt of famotidine, and an unexpected hydrolyzed complex of famotidine are reported. The famotidine hydrochloride hydrate and the hydrolyzed famotidine hydrochloride have Z′ values of 2 and 4, respectively. This article contributes to ...

Endocannabinoid system gene expression in mesocorticolimbic brain regions of individuals with alcohol use disorder: A descriptive study

open access: yesAddiction, Volume 121, Issue 5, Page 1179-1189, May 2026.
Abstract Aims To describe differences in the expression of genes encoding cannabinoid receptors (CNR1, CNR2), the associated receptor GRP55 and the enzymes fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH) and monoacylglycerol lipase (MGLL) between individuals with alcohol use disorder (AUD) and controls in key mesocorticolimbic brain regions.

A Pilot Study to Explore Length and Readability Characteristics of Subject Information Sheets/Informed Consent Forms of Clinical Trial Applications in the EU

open access: yesClinical and Translational Science, Volume 19, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT The Clinical Trials Information System (CTIS) enables a central joint registration of clinical trials in the EU and provides public access to key trial documents including informed consent documents. The increasing complexity and length of subject information sheets and informed consent forms (SIS/ICFs) can impact participant comprehension and

Dual‐trajectories of Systolic Blood Pressure and Modified Life's Essential 8 With Gastrointestinal Cancer and All‐Cause Mortality: A Prospective Cohort Study

open access: yesThe Journal of Clinical Hypertension, Volume 28, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT This study aimed to describe joint longitudinal patterns of SBP and modified Life's Essential 8 (LE8) and to further investigate their associations with risks of gastrointestinal cancer and all‐cause mortality in the Kailuan Study. Since systolic blood pressure (SBP) was used to assess the dual‐trajectories, modified LE8 score was calculated ...
