Phase stability and elasticity of C15 transition-metal intermetallic compounds [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
First-principle quantum mechanical calculations based on the local-density-functional theory have been performed to study the electronic, physical and metallurgical properties of C15 intermetallics MV{sub 2} (M = Zr, Hf, or Ta).

RV-C15 infection promotes translocation of tight junction proteins and impairs mucociliary clearance (MCC).

open access: yes, 2022
A: Percentage of maximum LDH release graph shows the cytotoxicity of RV-C15 infection in HAE from two donors (continuous and dash lines). Mean and standard error of the mean values were obtained across n = 3 cultures/time-point.

A Chiral Saddle‐Shaped Nanographene With Two Heptagon‐Embedded [4]Helicenes

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
We present a novel synthetic strategy toward a chiral saddle‐shaped nanographene (cSNG) via a two‐step oxidation of a prochiral anthracene precursor. The Scholl‐type oxidation first yields a key intermediate with sp3‐defect heptagons, and subsequent oxidative dehydrogenation affords fully conjugated cSNG.

Effect of dietary restriction and subsequent realimentation on hepatic oxidative phosphorylation in cattle

open access: yesAnimal, 2021
Compensatory growth (CG) is a naturally accelerated growth which occurs upon realimentation, following a prior period of dietary restriction. The process is harnessed worldwide as a management practice to reduce feed costs in beef cattle production.

Critical Success Factors for Enhancing the Circular Economy Performance of Last‐Mile Cold Chain Logistics Packaging for Urban Agricultural Products

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT With the increasing demand for high‐quality agricultural products, the agricultural cold‐chain logistics packaging (ACLP) industry faces significant environmental pressure and circular economy issues. This study analyzes the critical success factors (CSFs) that would enhance ACLP circular economy performance (CEP). The adversarial interpretive

Exploring Supply Chain Visibility for Circularity: A Delphi Approach

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Circular supply chains (CSCs) depend on enhanced supply chain visibility (SCV) to track and manage resource flows and thereby enable efficient decision‐making. Despite confronting silo mentalities, fragmented information, technological barriers, resistance to change, and a lack of standardization, data sharing remains crucial for SCV and ...

Dependence of CDHR3 and C15 binding on calcium.

open access: yes, 2018
Lysates transfected with cDNAs encoding Y529 CDHR3 protein were reacted with C15 virus in buffer with 2mM calcium, 2mM EDTA or EGTA (A), or in calcium-free buffer (B) and immunoprecipitated with an α-CDHR3 mAb reactive with the cytoplasmic domain.
