Electronic Structure of Defects in Fcc-C22
MRS Proceedings, 2006 ABSTRACTClassical and ab-initio calculations were carried out on bulk defects and surfaces of the carbon allotrope Fcc-C22. The results revealed a number of possible defects with spin polarization and one with antiferromagnetic character. The surfaces were shown to be able to host magnetic polarization.

Prostaglandins, 1981The concentrations of prostaglandins PGE3 and PGF3 alpha were 214 and 1500 ng/g wet trout gill tissue, respectively. A new prostaglandin, tentatively identified by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry as C22-PGF4 alpha (590 ng/g wet tissue) was discovered. This was synthesized from docosahexaenoic acid.

Fatty acids in samples (n=74) of pork adipose tissue were measured with a Fourier transform mid-infrared (FT-MIR) spectrometer and by gas chromatography. The measured absorption spectra provided information to estimate partial least squares regression models for fatty acid groups, the iodine value and several fatty acids.
