Optimization of Weld Bead Geometry of C263 Nimonic Alloy Electron Beam Weld Joints

2018
Improvement of weld bead geometry and reduced heat input to the weld joint are the two areas of major concern related to the performance of weld joints in Electron beam welding which in turn depends on the welding parameters. Within the present work a shot is created to improve the parameters of weld bead geometry like reinforcement, depth of ...

Microstructural evolution of laser repair welded rene 142 superalloy with IN625/C263 welding materials

Physica Scripta
Abstract In this study, the repair of directionally solidified turbine vanes made of René-142 superalloy was conducted using pulsed laser welding with two different filler metals, IN625 and C263. The first two weld passes were deposited using IN625, while the final five passes were completed with C263.
