Enhancing Selectivity of AuCu Electrocatalysts for CO2 Electroreduction in Chloride Electrolyte
ChemCatChem, Volume 18, Issue 17, 14 September 2026.Synergistic effects of Au–Cu bimetallic electrocatalysts in chloride electrolytes were studied by combining experiments and computational modeling. Electrocatalysts were electrodeposited on GDEs and tested in KHCO3 and KCl electrolytes. AuCu and Au2Cu improved CO production in KCl, reaching up to 80% faradaic efficiency.
