The PFS‐FWZIC method is employed to calculate the indicator weights, avoiding the inconsistency issues associated with traditional methods. Abstract Chlorite is thought to be one of the major water‐carrying phases in subduction zones, both within the slab and in the mantle wedge. Its presence has previously been linked to common seismological observations at subduction zones, including P and S wave anisotropy as well as high VP/VS ratios (>1.8) in the mantle wedge.
