A Unifying Approach to Self‐Organizing Systems Interacting via Conservation Laws

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
The article develops a unified way to model and analyze self‐organizing systems whose interactions are constrained by conservation laws. It represents physical/biological/engineered networks as graphs and builds projection operators (from incidence/cycle structure) that enforce those constraints and decompose network variables into constrained versus ...

Elastic Behavior of Lead Germanate Near Transition Temperature

open access: yesIbn Al-Haitham Journal for Pure and Applied Sciences, 2017
All the stiffened and unstiffened elastic constants for lead germanate (Pb5Ge3O11) single crystal have been measured from room temperature 298 K up to 513K by using ultrasonic pulse superposition technique.

Statistical foundations of ecological rationality

open access: yesEconomics: Journal Articles, 2020
If we reassess the rationality question under the assumption that the uncertainty of the natural world is largely unquantifiable, where do we end up? In this article the author argues that we arrive at a statistical, normative, and cognitive theory of ...

Multi-objective data envelopment analysis: A game of multiple attribute decision-making

open access: yesJournal of Economics and Management, 2019
Aim/purpose ‒ The traditional data envelopment analysis (DEA) is popularly used to evaluate the relative efficiency among public or private firms by maximising each firm’s efficiency: the decision maker only considers one decision-making unit (DMU) at ...

Application of AHP Method in Assessment of the Influence of Attributes on Value in the Process of Real Estate Valuation

open access: yesReal Estate Management and Valuation, 2019
Property valuation in the comparative approach requires the determination of the impact of market characteristics on the formation of prices on the local real estate market. Valuers have a variety of methods for determining weights.

European railway reforms and efficiency: Review of evidence in the literature

open access: yesReview of Economic Perspectives, 2017
The objective of the European railway reforms which started in the 1990s was to enable the entry of competition to raise the efficiency of railway transport. This was undertaken because the level of services, particularly in former Eastern Bloc countries,

Dual‐Phase In Situ Symbiosis Structures for Ultrahigh Capacitive Energy Storage

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
A dual‐phase in situ symbiosis structure designed by introducing a linear‐like pyrochlore phase (P phase) into the ferroelectric Aurivillius phase (A phase) and precisely controlling its proportion provides a new strategy for optimizing dielectric energy storage.

Enhanced Electron‐Capturing by Single‐Atomic Iron on Pyridinic N‐Deficient Carbon Drives Self‐Oxidative Degradation of Pollutants

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Pyrolysis of FeOx/g‐C3N4 and ZIF‐8 is performed to introduce Fe single atom and pyridinic nitrogen vacancies onto N‐doped carbon. This modification enables the materials to efficiently extract electrons from ciprofloxacin (CIP) and activate dissolved oxygen. 100% of CIP was degraded within 1 min without adding any oxidant.

Elastic constants of equiatomic Fe–Ni Invar alloy single crystal

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2023
In a disordered fcc structure, the equiatomic Fe–Ni alloy is of great interest as a soft magnetic Invar alloy with a near zero or low thermal expansion coefficient.
