Adherence to the 2018 World Cancer Research Fund/American Institute for Cancer Research Cancer Prevention Recommendations and survival in people with incident cancer in UK Biobank

open access: yesCancer, Volume 132, Issue 11, 1 June 2026.
In 28,550 UK Biobank participants diagnosed with a single incident cancer, greater adherence to five of the lifestyle‐based WCRF/AICR Cancer Prevention Recommendations was associated with reduced risk of all‐cause mortality. These findings provide evidence to support the WCRF/AICR Cancer Prevention Recommendation to “After a cancer diagnosis, follow ...

On‐Surface Synthesis of B3N3‐Substituted Two‐Dimensional Covalent Organic Frameworks with Distinct Pore Sizes and Kagome Band Structures

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 32, 8 June 2026.
Single‐layer, 2D BN‐substituted covalent organic frameworks (COFs) with two distinct periodicities are synthesized on noble metal supports. A multi‐method characterization reveals a non‐planar, chiral structure. Band gaps and frontier band dispersion are controlled by linker chemistry and spacer extension.

High‐Pressure Elasticity of CAS Phase and Its Implications for the Fate of Subducted Anorthosite Crust

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 10, 28 May 2026.
Abstract The CAS phase (CaAl4Si2O11) is a key phase formed in subducted silica‐alumina rich crustal and sedimentary materials under the mantle transition zone conditions. In this study, its elastic properties were investigated using first‐principles calculations up to 30 GPa.

Degradation of Rutin into Isoquercitrin by Bacillus litoralis strain C44

open access: yesIOSR Journal of Engineering, 2012
To develop the technique of microbial degradation of rutin into isoquercitrin (quercetin 3-glucoside), bacterial strains that could hydrolyze rutin were isolated from Chinese scholar tree Sophora japonica L. soil samples. Strain 44 containing rhanmosidase with the highest transformation ability was obtained after the soil samples were isolated ...
