On the role of different Skyrme forces and surface corrections in exotic cluster-decay

open access: yes, 2010
We present cluster decay studies of $^{56}$Ni$^*$ formed in heavy-ion collisions using different Skyrme forces. Our study reveals that different Skyrme forces do not alter the transfer structure of fractional yields significantly.

Metcalfe's law and log-period power laws in the cryptocurrencies market

open access: yesEconomics: Journal Articles, 2019
In this paper the authors investigate the statistical properties of some cryptocurrencies by using three layers of analysis: alpha-stable distributions, Metcalfe’s law and the bubble behaviour through the LPPL modelling.

Differential flow in heavy-ion collisions at balance energies

open access: yes, 1999
A strong differential transverse collective flow is predicted for the first time to occur in heavy-ion collisions at balance energies. We also give a novel explanation for the disappearance of the total transverse collective flow at the balance energies.

Differentiations in Gene Content and Expression Response to Virulence Induction Between Two Agrobacterium Strains

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2019
Agrobacterium tumefaciens is important in biotechnology due to its ability to transform eukaryotic cells. Although the molecular mechanisms have been studied extensively, previous studies were focused on the model strain C58.

Overexpression and characterization of hydantoin racemase from Agrobacterium tumefaciens C58

open access: yesBiochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 2003
Hydantoin racemase enzyme together with a stereoselective hydantoinase and a stereospecific D-carbamoylase guarantee the total conversion from D,L-5-monosubstituted hydantoins with a low velocity of racemization to optically pure D-amino acids. In this work we have cloned and expressed the hydantoin racemase gene from two strains of Agrobacterium ...

The Technological Bridge: R Programming’s Utility in Converting Social Media Data for Quantitative Financial Analysis

open access: yesEconomics and Culture
This study explores whether R programming can transform unstructured qualitative social media data into a quantitative format suitable for econometric modelling. It specifically examines how elements such as text, emojis, and sentiment from Reddit and X (

Agrobacterium Tumefaciens-Mediated Transformation Of Cabbage (Brassica Oleracea Subsp. Capitata) Cv. Ky Cross With Athsp101 Gene [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
An Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated transformation was developed for cabbage (Brassica oleracea subsp. capitata) cultivar KY Cross by introduction of the AtHSP101 gene.

Isotopic Composition of Fragments in Nuclear Multifragmentation

open access: yes, 2000
The isotope yields of fragments, produced in the decay of the quasiprojectile in Au+Au peripheral collisions at 35 MeV/nucleon and those coming from the disassembly of the unique source formed in Xe+Cu central reactions at 30 MeV/nucleon, were measured ...
