HEPPENSTALL C58

Alloy Digest, 1969
Abstract HEPPENSTALL C58 is an alloy tool and die steel furnished in the prehardened and in the annealed conditions. It is used for dies where very high compressive strength and resistance to softening at elevated temperatures are required.

Monoclonal antibodies againstAgrobacterium tumefaciens strain C58

Current Microbiology, 1990
Hybridoma cell lines were derived from the fusion of mouse myeloma cells with spleen cells from a mouse that had been immunized withAgrobacterium tumefaciens strain A759, a flagella-less mutant of strain C58 containing the Ti plasmid of strain B6. All of the 20 antibodies produced by the cloned hybridomas reacted with strain C58 and with other strains ...

Serum Transmissibility of Immune Polioencephalomyelitis in C58 Mice

The Journal of Immunology, 1973
Abstract The serum transmissibility of immune polioencephalomyelitis in C58 mice was characterized. The disease could be transmitted in C58 mice 10 or more months old but not in the BALB/wm, C3H/HeJ, C57BL/6J and AKR/J strains. The serum of both young and old mice was positive 24 hr after they were immunized with line Ib malignant ...

Synthesis of C58 Open-Cage Fullerene Derivatives

Synlett, 2016
Several analogous C 58 open-cage fullerene derivatives have been prepared through silver acetate mediated decarboxylation of the corresponding C 59 open-cage precursors. These C 58 open-cage fullerene derivatives can trap one water molecule under mild conditions as shown by spectroscopic data and single-crystal X-ray analysis.

Desorption of C60 upon thermal decomposition of cesium C58 fullerides

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2012
A monodispersed fullerene material comprising exclusively C58 cages was doped with Cs to generate CsxC58 films of various compositions. The resulting modified properties have been studied using a variety of surface analysis methods with emphasis on thermal desorption and ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopies.

Molecular analysis of the recA gene of Agrobacterium tumefaciens C58

Gene, 1992
The complete nucleotide sequence of the Agrobacterium tumefaciens recA gene was determined. A comparison of the translated open reading frame of the gene with other known recA sequences revealed significant sequence conservation. However, unlike its Escherichia coli equivalent, A.

Informational Structure of Agrobacterium Tumefaciens C58 Genome

2007
Base-base correlation (BBC) method, based on information theory, translates a DNA sequence into a 16-dimensional vector. It has proven quite effective in distinguishing various functional regions on one chromosome. In this study, we explore the potential use of distinguishing different chromosomes within one species, with particular emphasis on ...

Time-resolved kinetic energy releases for C60·+ → C58·+ + C2

International Journal of Mass Spectrometry and Ion Processes, 1997
Time-resolved kinetic energy release (KER) measurements were performed on an ion trap/reflectron mass spectrometer. The average KER for C2 evaporation from C60·+ was observed to decrease with increasing precursor ion lifetime. This constitutes proof that the KER is due to the non-fixed energy in the transition state rather than to a reverse activation ...

Indoleacetic acid production: A plasmid function of Agrobacterium tumefaciens C58

Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 1979
Abstract Indoleacetic acid (IAA) production is regulated by the 117 Mdalton pTi plasmid that is harbored by the crown gall bacterium Agrobacterium tumefaciens strain C-58. In the presence of tyrosine, about 5- to 10-fold higher IAA production (0.8–0.9 μg/ml) occurs in strain C-58 than in the plasmidless avirulent derivative strain NT1. The high

Isomers of Fullerenes C58 to C60

We have designed possible structures of isomers of fullerenes from C58 to C60. The fullerenes studied refer to four-, five- and six-fold symmetry, they being divided into two classes, perfect (basic) having ordinary symmetry and intermediate having topological symmetry.
